The EB-5 Program

The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program was created by the United States Congress in 1990 to stimulate the American economy through job creation with the help of foreign capital.

By becoming a partner in an approved EB-5 project, the applicants contribute to the creation of job opportunities in the United States, and in return they get awarded with permanent residency status (green card) in the United States.

The program is operated by the USCIS; United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Every year, 10.000 investors around the world apply for permanent residency in the U.S. through the EB-5 program.

In order to apply for a green card through the program, EB-5 applicants are required to keep the government-regulated investment amount in a previously approved project fund for a certain period during which they would be contributing to the economy of the targeted employment area.

American General Corporation works with USCIS approved regional centers to plan and manage real estate development projects that help creating jobs for American workers in such targeted employment areas.
